It’s already 2024: we find ourselves in an interaction between the present and the future. With a sufficient battery, an additional power bank and the right amount of data, the world runs synchronously in real time everywhere on Android and iOS.
In their project SCREENTIME, Hendrik Vogel and Kilian Kretschmer focus on our relationship through technology. More precisely, digital (visual) relationships. Inspired by Diego Velazquez, Eduard Manet, Jeff Wall, Ruben Östlund, Pina Bausch, Wim Wenders, Sasha Waltz, Truman Capote, Instagram and TikTok, the audience takes a look behind the scenes in their musical video work in cooperation with the Badisches Staatstheater Ballet and choreographed by Kevin O’Day, and at the same time becomes part of the production after a rehearsal.
