Analyse. Create. Debate. Design: Thanks to a unique teaching, research and exhibition concept, the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) enables its students to think beyond their own discipline, to understand contexts and to work out complex topics in their project studies.

With communication design, product design, media art, exhibition design and scenography as well as art studies, media theory and media philosophy, the HfG thus presents itself as an art academy of a special type that has increasingly developed in Europe, the USA and Japan since the early 1990s.

Housed in a striking former industrial building, the HfG with its atriums, light bridges and adjoining rooms not only offers excellent study conditions, but also unique event and exhibition opportunities for the national art, design and performance scene.
