ZKM presents the main works from its globally unique media art collection. Selected works illustrate the transformation of art in the 20th and 21st century through changed production, reception and distribution technologies. New media developments are often addressed earlier by artists than by the whole society: They write the history of the future. Part II of the exhibition is devoted to the history and utopias of video art, computer-based arts, holography and sound art.
