SOUNDS OF LIFE starts the new season with a concert as part of the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival. Composer Kris Felix Bauer will present the new pieces from his soundtrack at this concert special in the rotunda of the Vierordtbad Karlsruhe.
Matching the music, visuals will be projected into the twelve-metre-high dome of the rotunda. The audience is in a relaxed reclining position and can completely let themselves fall into a decelerated world. The heart of the project is Kris Felix Bauer’s virtuoso guitar playing, which unfolds a 3-dimensional depth effect in the spherical acoustics in combination with the visuals.
A special highlight of the new SOUNDS OF LIFE season are compositions thematically revolving around the lazy tomcat “George the Cat”, who is having a carefree and completely relaxed day.
The interplay of music & image and the interesting venue “Rotunde” make this project a unique institution, realised in cooperation with the City of Karlsruhe within the framework of UNESCO City of Media Arts.
