A world of diversity awakens in the Alter Schlachthof creative park in Karlsruhe: the art and culture night “Schwein gehabt” offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the city’s creative scene and discover a wide range of artistic forms of expression. From visual arts and music to theatre and film, over 40 local creative businesses and event centres present their works and programmes.
The “Schwein gehabt” art and culture night has long since become an integral part of cultural life in Karlsruhe. The event, which is now in its sixth edition, attracts visitors from the region and further away. The focus is not only on established artists, but also on up-and-coming talent and local initiatives. A special highlight of the night is the light and media art exhibition, which is supported this year by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts. Eight selected works lend the grounds of the Alter Schlachthof a unique atmosphere and invite visitors to discover and experience the artworks.
The event also offers the opportunity to get to know the diversity of the players in the Alter Schlachthof creative park. From fashion designers and software developers to graphic designers and artists, a wide variety of creative minds will present themselves and provide insights into their work. The culture night also offers a wide range of culinary options and invites you to discover the culinary delights of the region. From traditional cuisine to innovative specialities, there is something for every taste.
The art and culture night “Schwein gehabt” is organised by the association ausgeschlachtet e.V. in cooperation with the City of Karlsruhe, the Department of Cultural Affairs Karlsruhe and the cultural office and Karlsruher Fächer GmbH.
