At the InnovationFestival @karlsruhe.digital, Karlsruhe and the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion once again prove that they are a hub of digital innovations. At the ZKM | Centre for Art and Media Karlsruhe, ten companies will present the diversity of our technology location in ten-minute pitches.

Artificial intelligence and sustainability have become indispensable in the development of new digital technologies. How these topics are dealt with will be presented by ten companies from public transport to construction, via IT security from Karlsruhe and the TechnologyRegion.

Starting with a keynote speech by Ingo Hoffmann, Managing Director of the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg e.G. on the topic of “Quo Vadis AI – Artificial Intelligence in the area of tension between innovation, adaptation and regulation” and moderated by Tijen Onaran, the event will begin at 2 p.m. in the media theatre of the ZKM and livestream. In addition to Alistair Hudson, Scientific-Artistic Chairman of the ZKM, First Mayor Gabriele Luczak-Schwarz, Professor Dr. Thomas Hirth (Vice President KIT) and Martin Hubschneider (Director CyberForum) will speak before the pitches begin.

The event will end with an informal get-together in the foyer of the ZKM at 6 p.m. The get together is free of charge and can also be attended without registration. Together with the KIT Science Week (October 10-15), which this year has the motto “Shaping a sustainable future together”, a closing party will be held at the Kulturzentrum Tollhaus Karlsruhe.
