For the first time, the ZKM, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, the University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe and the Städtische Galerie will present themselves together on a new date in the Hallenbau and provide insights behind the scenes of all four institutions. Visitors will be offered an extensive program in all 10 atriums, including numerous top-class exhibitions, guided tours and lectures, exciting hands-on activities for children, young people and adults as well as concerts.
On the new “Hallenbau Open House”, the four institutions are inviting visitors to take part in a varied program that will give young and old alike an exciting insight into the working practices and premises. Visitors can take a look in front of and behind the scenes in around 50 guided tours at the ZKM. Possible places of discovery that are normally closed to the public include the laboratory for antiquated video systems, the Hertz laboratory and the new glass studio for the restoration of media art.
