Parallel to the Schlosslichtspiele, 13 media artworks can be seen at the Media art is here exhibition in the city area. From large-scale façade projections and interactive totems to sculptures with augmented reality elements, an extensive cross-section of the most diverse techniques on current topics is on display. In addition, the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe Office is once again offering free guided bicycle tours to various stations in the city centre.
No previous knowledge is required to take part in one of the tours. They are each designed to last a total of 1.5 hours, are approximately 3 km long and participants only need their own bike and a smartphone or internet-capable device.

Registration
Each tour is limited to 15 participants, the free tickets can be collected from the Tourist Information Office on Marktplatz from August 10, 2024. If you are interested, you can also request dates for special guided tours from 10 to a maximum of 20 people. Please send enquiries by email to: dirk.goldhorn@kultur.karlsruhe.de.
The start and end points vary depending on the tour. If possible, please be on site 10 minutes before the start of the tour to ensure a punctual start.
In the event of bad weather, the tour will be rescheduled. Please check this website on the day of your tour as a precaution, or enquire about last-minute changes using the contact details below.
Please understand that we cannot cover all the stations where media artworks are located in a single tour. However, we will be happy to give you tips and advice if you would like to explore the rest of the exhibition on your own.
