Since becoming a UNESCO Creative City for Media Arts in 2013, Enghien-les-Bains has led efforts in coordinating media arts initiatives. Positioned near Paris, France, the city has championed innovation and creativity through its Centre des arts (CDA) for over two decades. This contemporary venue regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts, films, and live performances, supporting media arts across culture, education, tourism, the economy, and social sectors, aligned with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals. Enghien-les-Bains hosts two significant annual events: the Paris Images Digital Summit, a festival celebrating visual effects, and Bains numériques, an international biennial showcasing media arts. The city’s engagement with the UCCN involved organizing events such as hosting the XIth annual Network meeting in 2017 and the Media Arts sub-network meeting in 2024.
