“BioMedia” will be presented by the cities of Karlsruhe and Enghien-les-Bains in Brazil

The adaptation of the ZKM show BioMedia. The Age of Media with Life-like Behavior, exhibited at the Centre des Arts, Enghien-les-Bains from May to July 2022, will be presented at the next Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), in Santos (Brazil). The exhibition is the result of the collaboration between two members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Karlsruhe (Germany) and Enghien-les-Bains (France).

The project will be presented on July 21 in the thematic session “technologies and innovation” by Dominique Roland, Director of the Centre des arts and Deputy chief executive manager “Innovation and Digital Development” of the City of Enghien-les Bains, and Anastasia Ziegler, Executive Coordinator of the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe. The 14th edition of this conference that brings together representatives of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network will take place from July 18 to 22, in the Brazilian city of Santos.

The BioMedia exhibition, which is on display at the ZKM Karlsruhe until August 28, invites visitors to learn about and discuss possible forms of cohabitation between organic and artificial forms of life. A selection of works by international artists on this subject was on view at the Centre des Arts until July 10, 2022.
